  2. You can do an online press release. Either write it up yourself or hire a writer like me :) Good luck

  4. The fastest way to get a Google listing is to create a blog, and blog about your business. Use a site like http://www.pingoat.com to 'ping' the blog when it is done.
You can use http://blogger.com to host your blog for free, and there are other free blogging resources as well.
    http://www.Wordpress.com is an excellent site.
Now, watch out for 'traffic exchanges' that offer to list your site or business in exchange for you listing theirs. Most are outright scams, and always the person running it has an unfair advantage over everyone else with most links pointing at their website instead of yours.
Craigslist isn't a good site to advertise a business. They are there for you to list things for sale, rent or lease. Just listing your business is liable to get you bounced. Read their Terms Of Service before you post. I do use them to list houses for rent when I have an empty one, and with good results.

  6. First of all do the onsite optimization. Pick the keywords for which people must see your site in search engines. Then spread these keywords in your page body, TITLE, meta, ALT, and H1-H6 tags.

Then join related forums and put your website link in the signatures.
