If you live outside the US, what search engine do you use besides the American ones?

April 16, 2008 on 6:22 am | By advertising | In search engine |

If you use google, are there search engines for your country that you use as well, or do you know of any popular ones? Would you rather use the ones geared toward your country or just google it?
I don't want to know what country specific version of google, but what country specific search engines that are run by people in those countries.

  1. Google has region specific addresses. So. For instance Google in the UK would be http://www.google.co.uk

Another way of doing this would be as follows

Say you are in Australia. If you put in Google Australia it should come up with the link to Google Australia (I tried it and it worked)

  2. In China, Biadu is popular.
In South Korea, NHN is popular.
    In Russia, Yandex is popular.
    In Asia, Alibaba.com is popular.
I live in the UK and Google and Yahoo are both the most popular, which are both American.
