How many questions have you answered in here with a simple search on a search engine?

April 18, 2008 on 4:53 am | By advertising | In search engine |

Just curious why so many people do not seem to be able to use Yahoo search engine for a simple answer, but can post a question in answers.
Should the answers staff offer instruction on using Yahoo search capabilities?

  7. lots of people don't have the Patience to do that…because looking for something takes a little work and thinking and most people don't want to think or think that hard.

  8. You do know that there are a couple of million people that will type yahoo.com in to the google search engine just to get the link to go check their email.

Searching can be intimidating for many people, there is so much information on the net, how and where do you start.

For me this is no problem, but with the other set of shoes on my feet, it's easy to see why people would rather be spoon fed than actually have to learn how to search. Yup, searching is simplistic, but that's how it is.

  9. There are some ppl who are no doubt too lazy to search, but then on some questions I can tell that ppl do not have any idea on how a search engine works.
I think it should be a rule made that ppl should have to look it up on their own first. This would cut down on repetitive questions as well as those that don't make any sense.
