  5. If your dog came from a reputable, knowledgeable breeder, they would be the person to ask. If he didn't, he probably shouldn't be at stud anyway.
Good stud dogs don't need advertising - the owners of b1tches come to him, the only people likely to repsond to adverts are breeders who don't now enough to be breeding in the first place & will mean your dogs pups end up in rescue or being put down because they are homeless.

  6. Is your stud dog a better than average example of the breed?

Has the dog be health tested?

Does your dog have a good temperament?

Has your dog been assessed by a judge in a show or has the breeder of your dog suggested that you use him as a stud dog?

You could try advertising your dog in one of the canine weekly newspapers such as http://www.ourdogs.co.uk or on the Champdogs website. Approach the breeder to see if s/he know of anyone who would want to use your dogs. Advertise in local papers ect.

  7. http://www.epupz.co.uk/search/index.asp?search=breeders&mode=studs

Great site for puppies, studs, breeders etc. This is where I found my standard poodle.

  8. That should be easy if your dog is actually stud material. The dogs shows that you have undoubtedly been attending are a great place to start.

  9. Your breed club's magazine. That's where the serious breeders are looking. Put in a nice win photo with a list of your dog's accomplishments and any health test results, plus a 2-3 generation pedigree.
