  1. In what aspect? Be more specific! A search engine has many uses, good as well as bad.

    Now in the case as of programming, there is no easier way to quickly find a reference entry for any documented function or aspect located on the internet, of which has been indexed of cause.

    Also, no point in using a book for before mentioned, because you can't copy/paste a books content into your compiler/editor. My first place to look for mentioned references would be google, and the last place would be a book.

    Of cause a search engine wouldn't always be to prefer, I.E. Reading the Bible offline as a book still has it value.
