September 25, 2008 on 8:22 am | By advertising | In advertising |

Hey guys, im doing a project for my advertising class. First i have to find some current ad campaigns which are bad/noneffective and then come out with a strategy on how to make this campaign work

What do you think is the worst or most noneffective ad campaign that is currently showing?

  2. I hate those Glade ads where the woman is always trying to sound rich in front of her friends (like she’s at the spa, using a french candle, expensive aromatherapy oils, etc.) but really she’s just using Glade products. I use Glade products and I don’t like the fact that the woman is ashamed of using their products and is always lying to her friends. Why would she lie? Doesn’t make sense to me from an advertising standpoint. They also have an ad where she goes to play tennis and then spays her house with air freshener and her family thinks she spent all day cleaning. As a working mom, I wish it was that easy!

I don’t have any research, so maybe it is working for them, but personally, I think it is a lousy campaign.
