one way of doing it would be to put all the keywords that u wnt ur site to turn up for in the header of the page.

It wont be the first.
You can put your site on there though… That is what web crawlers are for.
In your website make sure the appropriate meta tags are included, this will also increase the chances of your site coming up.

Dane

The higher your site the more relevant it is to the search. There is no code to bring it up higher. But if you want it to be in that “Sponsored Results” box that is at the top of Yahoo and Google, then you have to become a sponsor and pay them to do that.

Well u cant do anything. It depends on what they are searching. If they are searching for a sentence, it shows website that have the sentence they’re searched for, or similar to it. Most similar web pages comes first and least similar comes last.

Guaranteed fist every time? Call each search engine company and ask how much it will cost. (You’ll probably have to buy the company, or at least a substantial portion of it.)
If SEO were that easy everyone would be at the top of the list. It’s not.

Keep your ‘key words’ and ‘meta tags’ simple, yet revealing about your site.
Try to envision what you would ‘Google’ if you (and others) were searching for the stuff that’s on your site.
If it’s a business, what product, and what sets you apart from the others;
If it’s services, same things.
Google ranks site pages according to the number of hits, so you want to have those meta tags as the topic of what people are ‘google searching’ for.
Also, spread your website around: in your local community, ask other site owners to put a logo/link on their site (maybe in exchange for your product/service, or you link back to them (barter is the idea).
The more links, the more hits, the better the placement on Google search.

Hey Vava,
Search engine optimization is not something that can be taught over Yahoo answers. I like to consider SEO as a science which is constantly fluctuating to evolve with the times. The key is to make sure that you are constantly evolving with the times. Broken down in laymens terms the most crucial aspects of SEO boil down to these factors.
1. Keyword Research (making sure you choose the correct keywords to target)
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Use that for keyword research.
2. On Page Optimization
- Title (Main Keywords in Title)
- META Keyword (make sure you have the keywords in here)
- Description (make sure that you create an captivating description so that people will click on YOUR result over the others)
- Keyword Density (making sure that your content has your specific targeted keyword enough throughout the document)
- Linking Structure (make sure that you use NoFollow attributes to control your websites linking structure)
3. Off Page Optimization
- Anchor text links (using your keyword/variants of the keyword)
These are links that you find on the internet that you have control over and are able to use your keyword in the link pointing to your website
- Backlinks
Find backlinks from relevant and high pagerank websites, it is amazing what some relevant high ranking links can do for your websites SERPs
