Where can i get information on oil in terms of stock market?

i'm planning to do some investment in some oil company but not exactly sure where to start…any suggestion, links, etc

  1. Yahoo Finance is a reasonably good place to start. Use their Industry Browser, oil is in Basic materials. There you will find the 5 industrial classifications within the oil sector and companies categorized in each.
