How is the job market in New York City?

I might be moving there to go to school next year and I am going to need a job. Will it be easy for me to find one? I’m willing to do almost anything, as long as it pays at least minimum wage. I know things might change between now and then, so if any one has a guess that would be good too. If any one has any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

How do conservative Republicans reconcile free market philosophy with harsh immigration standards?

Basically there is no legal way that a standard Latino laborer could immigrate to the US without a sponsor. They would have better luck being struck by lighting and winning la loteria on the same day.
If the GOP is so bullish on the powers of the free market, why not relax the immigration standards instead of attempting to artificially inflate the price of manual labor?

Does doing marketing work (i.e. promoting products for other companies) for commision only really earn money?

I’m thinking of starting work for a marketing company however the pay is commision only and I’m a little unsure of whether it’s going to pay the bills.
