Car rear window decal for advertising my jewelry business? Ideas, please…?

February 25, 2010 on 9:35 am | By advertising | In advertising | 3 Comments

I am a jewelry artist, with several target clients. Please feel free to take a look at my shop, at http://WinterMoonJewelry.etsy.com to get an idea of what I make and sell.

We’ve all seen those rear window decals…the rather large ones, with logos and text, etc. Some are funny, some are for racers (or wannabes), and some are advertisements. I am, of course, looking for the latter.

What do you think would work for advertising? Just my moon and snowflake logo, or some sort of jewelry picture?
Remember, these are one color (usually white), so I can’t just take a picture of one of my pieces and use it.

Thank you so much for your suggestions!!
sevenbucksdown, cute! ;D

And yes, I am most definitely asking a question and looking for ideas, NOT trying to do sneaky advertisement. I’m a real person, not a bot. :)
I only link my shop so if someone was so inclined, they could get a feel for what I actually sell before answering.
Just saying "jewelry," I could sell just about anything from platinum & diamonds to crappy plastic kids’ stuff. :)

I have to build a website for a car dealership and they want a search engine that can search the cars within their website - displaying their cars only and not bringing up a bunch of links on the web. i’ve been looking around but i cant seem find a script that suits what i need. any suggestions?

What Are Some Good Marketing Ideas For Slash?

February 25, 2010 on 7:33 am | By advertising | In marketing | 6 Comments

I have a project due on monday for a marketing class that I’m taking where we have to pick something to market so I decided on a Slash CD since I’m a pretty big fan. The catch to this assignment is we’re suppose to do something outside of the box, so no print advertising, radio, etc. So far I’ve thought of a Slash impersonator to walk around a major city the day of release, a Hummer with a car wrap promoting the album, leaving branded guitar picks around city sidewalks and record stores and that’s pretty much it. Please let me know if you have any other ideas or if you think the ones are are good or bad. Thank you!

Has yahoo search-engine quit working for others?

February 25, 2010 on 7:33 am | By advertising | In search engine | 1 Comment

I’ve had yahoo.com as my home page forever and I always have used it as a search engine over google.com etc…. So, recently everytime I search anything using yahoo it takes me to a blank page, and at the bottom of the page says "done" and the hourglass/spinny arrow thing stops moving so it’s obviously done loading to the next page. I have used google for example and it works fine so it’s just this particular process. It’s annoying the hell out of me because I like yahoo and don’t feel like pulling up google each time I need to search.
The most recent example is just now I searched the word "McTwist",,, it searched and left me with a blank, "done" screen and this: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=McTwist&cs=bz&fr=fp-tts-701&fr2=ps was what was left in the address bar window tab.
