What is the proper SEO way of submitting articles ?

I have a new article site and I am looking to do some article submission to get some backlinks. Now my site already has hundreds of articles and I am looking to get them indexed. What should be the proper way of submitting articles to other directories ? Is submitting a small summary of the main article good(with a backlink to the main article) ? or a complete new article is required ? Should i submit one article to hundreds of article directories or should I slightly modify it and than submit it to every new article directory ?

I don’t want to get my original articles get penalized because of this article submission

  1. Think best will be to publish totally new articles.
    Even better would be if you can modify article for every article directory that you submit to, but I don’t think you will have the time for this

    I tend to submit the same article to all the top article directories. I change the anchor text of the link back to my site a few times…

  2. I would avoid submitting content from your site to article directories. Google will only index one copy of a particular piece of content - and it’s pretty possible the search engine will choose the copies at the article directories rather than on your site.

    So get some new articles, and submit those to the directories. My opinion is that you should try to submit largely unique content to the top few directories. Once you’ve done that, you can submit a single version to lots of the low quality directories - even if you use unique content, it’s doubtful the search engines will assign value to many of those links.

Yes,submitting one article to hundreds of article directories really works out in a better way.While submitting your article ,You need to have your title packed with keywords as it is the important part of your article.Coming to the article text, having the keyword percentage of around 2-3% in the text is also helpful .Creating links to your articles is also important.

  4. What i do to my website is submit 3-4 articles everyday to different article directories, for sure, not the some content, sometimes i use the same content but not exactly same in format and orders.
