Why the phone companies KNow how Teens become Addicts with texting/phone and still Advertise it?

There’s this commercial for a new blackgerry type/texting type thing…where you can connect with your friends from twitter, facebook, and who knows what else.

This is totally insane. They want teens and people to live in this facebook/twitter/ world instead of having real lives. Why???

Thankfully i’m not stupid and i dont have texting nor do i use my phone for useless stuff. But many young people do.. and yet the phone companies give them the message that it’s cool to do all this kind of distracting texting and stuff meanwhile becoming disrespectful to real living people( ignoring people, not being nice, texting and twitting and whenever when in stores and places).

I’m male early 30’s but i’ve never been a crazy addict in anything( video games , etc) but nowadays many kids are falling for these gadgets

how can i block al kind of advertising mails?

If foodstamps, WIC, and Medicaid are overly abused, then why do they advertise it on radio?

I see (pretty much on here, because everyone I know in "real" life doesn’t give a darn either way) say that the government doesn’t want people to be on assistance because its so overly abused. Every radio break on the station I listen to it implores people to call 211 and apply for medicaid, foodstamps and WIC. I live in texas and we do have a surplus, but it really does strongly encourage, and even says something along the lines of: Even if you think you don’t qualify, you very well may, and just don’t know it. I think its great they are advertising to people who may need help, but don’t know where to go. Does your state constantly advertise WIC, foodstamps, and medicaid? Does it encourage people to apply?

COULD CPI BENEFIT BY ADVERTISING IN THIS PERFECTLY COMPETITIVE MARKET?
