Best SEO Tactics for Local Business Marketers?

June 26, 2008 on 4:53 am | By advertising | In search engine | 2 Comments

I work with many local businesses to help them use the web to generate leads and sales. Much different than national or e commerce sites.

Here is a list of tactics I use for local websites to help them rank and get customers, what are some of the best tactics you use:

1. Youtube Videos
2. Merchant Circle
3. Blogging
4. Yelp/Kudzu
5. CitySearch
6. Craigslist/Kijiji
7. Yahoo Answers
8. PPC
9. Press Releases
10. Google Business Center/Maps
11. Directory Submission
12. Link Campaigns
13. Article Writing
14. Buying Local Domain names (ie, http://www.orangecountycabinets.net)
15. Local Portal Business Submission
16. Chamber of Commerce Links
17. BBB Seals

I'd love to hear from SEO'ers that use other tactics. Its good to share.

basically what happens is that when ever i put in something to search for it does bring up the results but when i click into the link for the page i want, a little tab come up in the corner that says continue and it redirects me to some other page. this happens with any search engine i use.
